Few would argue that the last two years have been filled with more uncertainty than almost any period in recent memory. With "the nature of not knowing," Savannah-based artist Betsy Cain’s latest exhibition at Laney Contemporary, the artist is exploring the theme of unpredictability in her practice, her personal life, and as a reflection of our community.

“That’s an old title for one of my paintings,” Cain explained. “And I had it back here in my studio, in the catacombs, and when I pulled it out I thought that’s such a wonderful title for a painting, and it may be a wonderful title for a show.
