Sandoz application is versatile, creating works on panel, canvas, paper, large scale wall-treatments and murals. Sandoz holds an MFA in Painting and MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she was Professor of Illustration from 1997–2005. She has been living and working in Savannah since the mid-1990s.

Sandoz is a frequent collaborator with artists practicing in many disciplines, an advocate of public art and arts education. One recent commission includes a large-scale suspended sculpture and site-specific painting for the Jepson Center for the Arts, Telfair Museums in Savannah, Georgia.
