Story Line: Wiley, Howard and Moneyhun, brings together three artists working in very specific – and very different – media to the new Westobou Gallery in downtown Augusta. Curated by Susan Laney of Laney Contemporary, this exhibition explores social, mythical and cultural themes connected by that most foundational of artistic ideas – the line. Pam Wiley’s work explores ideas of family, heritage and her Low Country environs through textiles. A storyteller from the folk art tradition, Stephanie Howard’s elaborate line drawings illustrate her view of Southern heritage. Hiromi Moneyhun creates complex hand-cut paper works, adding an element of subtle dimension to her line-driven pieces.

Join us for a visual conversation that begins with, and then transcends, the idea of the line.
