Betsy Cain

Betsy Cain was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and grew up in Fairfield, Alabama, a steel mill city near Birmingham. She received both her BFA and MFA from The University of Alabama, but also did formative undergraduate work at Auburn University and Instituto Allende, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

After the culmination of a national grant through The Roswell Museum and Art Center (Roswell, New Mexico) in 1981, she moved to Savannah, Georgia where for the past thirty five years she has maintained independent studios and has been active in the local art scene.

Betsy has exhibited in numerous museums and galleries in such cities as Savannah, New York, Atlanta, and Jacksonville.
